37 Signals takes money from Bezos?

37 Signals, the company we modeled Spur after, just did the unthinkable: they raised venture capital from Jeff Bezos!  Why did they do it?  They didn’t need the money, but perhaps they wanted some Amazon magic.  But is Amazon what 37 Signals wants to be?  I hope not, and I don’t think so.  But, getting advice and assistance from people like Jeff is usually a good idea.  Wonder if they had to take an investment to get it?  Perhaps.  Congratulations to Jason and his team!
